Check-in and Check-Out:
Check-in time is 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. We do not have a front desk; please make every effort to arrive on time.
Check-out time is 11 a.m.
Payment Policy
A deposit of 50% of your stay will be charged to your credit card at the time your reservation is made and balance charged daily. Deposits can only be made by credit or debit cards. Your final balance will be charged to your credit card on file at check out.
Rates, Taxes and Fees:
Rates, taxes and fees are subject to change. All rates based on double occupancy.
Food Allergies, Restrictions and Other food requests:
Please be sure to alert your innkeeper if you have any dietary restrictions, are vegan or vegetarian, or have other special requirements such as celiac disease, gluten-intolerance, gluten-free diets, hate green things, don’t eat eggs. A good example would be on medication that precludes grapefruit.
Smoking:
Smoking is NOT permitted inside any of the buildings or on the grounds close to the buildings. A cleaning fee of $500 will be assessed for any violations in buildings.
Maximum occupancy:
Amarillo, Azul & Rojo rooms is 2 people.
Verde room is 4.
Extra-Guest Charge:
$50 charge per night per room for each additional guest in the room.
Maximum number of nights:
Seven (7) under one booking.
Young Adults:
Young adults 12 and older are welcome. Our home is a peaceful retreat for our guests, and we welcome well behaved young people over age 12. Our facility is not designed for young children or infants.
Pet Policy:
We do not accept guest’s pets on property.
We have 4 cats who are on property, who are typically housed in the owner’s accommodation area.
Room Damage/Missing Items/Excessive Cleaning:
If rooms are damaged or left extremely dirty during a stay, guests will be charged the amount it costs to replace damaged item $50/hr. labor fees to return room to its original state. This includes missing/damaged remotes, bedding, towels, windows, window screens, appliances, fixtures, furniture, doors, lights, mirrors, artwork etc.
Disabled Accessibility:
We are NOT accessible for those with physical disabilities. All rooms are on the second floor and are accessible via stairs.
Cancellations:
We adhere to a strict cancellation policy of 14 days prior to arrival date.
· Cancellations made prior to the fourteen (14) day arrival deadline will be refunded their deposit or can be credited toward a future stay.
· Cancellations made fourteen (14) days or less will be charged the full amount of the reservation. This includes “No-shows” and premature check-outs.
Reservations made more than two (2) months in advance are subject to a longer cancellation period. If cancelled prior to thirty (30) days of arrival date, there is no penalty. If cancelled within thirty (30) days of arrival date, a $50 per room cancellation fee will be assessed. If cancelled within twenty-one (21) days prior to arrival date, guests will be charged the full amount of the reservation.
Cancellations must be made directly by e-mail to info@gillenhousebandb.com with a confirmed response from Gillen House Luxury B&B.
Legal Notice:
This is our home, and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. By booking a room at the Gillen House, you agree to hold harmless the property and owners from any injury sustained while on the grounds or in the house. We are not responsible for accidents or injury, damages to personal property or vehicles, or for the loss of money or valuables of any kind.

Gillen House Bed and Breakfast Accessibility Policy
The Gillen House Bed and Breakfast, located in Maxeys Georgia, warmly welcomes all guests.
However, due to the historic significance of our building, the Inn is not completely wheelchair accessible. Removal of necessary physical barriers for complete accessibility is not readily achievable as such removal would threaten or destroy the historic significance of the property.
The physical barriers include the following:
● The walkway from the parking to the front door has a level change.
● Elevated access requires climbing 6 or more steps.
● All guest rooms are located on the second floor.
● Due to the historic nature of the building, the interior structure includes narrow hallways and doorways that do not all accommodate a wheelchair.
● There is no elevator
● No rooms include a roll in shower
Accessible Accommodation(s):
So all guests can enjoy The Gillen House Bed and Breakfast, steps have been taken to remove barriers where possible at our property. We offer the following for those with disabilities or limited disabilities:
● Wheelchair access to The Gillen House Bed and Breakfast dining areas and common areas are limited for those with disabilities.
● With 24-hour notice, we can also accommodate special diets including vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, low-carb and low-fat.
Our goal is to ensure that anyone who wishes to visit The Gillen House Bed and Breakfast can do so, regardless of their physical abilities. Among the ways we strive to comply with the ADA:
1. It is our standard operating procedure that individuals with disabilities can make reservations for an accommodation during the same hours and in the same manner as individuals who do not have disabilities.
2. We have identified and described features as well as physical barriers with enough detail to allow individuals with disabilities to determine independently whether a given guest room meets their accessibility needs.
3. We guarantee that a guest room, once reserved, is held for the reserving customer and is removed from all reservation systems.
